ACG Studio is an architectural and interior design practice established by Kendall Aplin, Marlew Cook and Doug Gardner, based in Adelaide.

Our aim is to create engaging forms and space through considered detail, light and materiality.

Our focus on creativity and understanding clients objective results in memorable environments which have a positive experience on its inhabitants and communities.


We bring our clients a refreshing lease of enthusiasm along with our knowledge and experience gained from our combined years of professional experience and understanding of commercial realities. With our collective design abilities, technical skills and construction expertise we have the capability to undertake all building types ranging from large complex developments to smaller boutique projects.

​KENDALL APLIN

Kendall Aplin is a registered architect with over 15 years experience having worked on a varied range of portfolios including urban design, multi-rise residential, single dwellings, aged care and retirement living, education and hospitality. Her priority and focus is of high quality design and delivery to create successful environments which will make a positive experience to the lives of people and communities. 


Kendall believes in an integrated and collaborative approach to design with strong interests in materials and detailing, response to site and emphasis on space and light. Her understanding of clients’ needs, knowledge in construction methods and attention to detail and coordination enables a strong design outcome. Her involvement in the project across all disciplines from concept design to construction also ensures the design integrity is maintained. Kendall prides herself on her work ethic, leadership and communication skills which allow projects to run smoothly and achieve the desired outcome.

MARLEW COOK

Marlew Cook is an Interior Designer with over 10 years of experience in premium residential apartments and penthouses, retirement living accommodation and recreational facilities, boutique retail design, hotel design and hospitality.


Marlew’s collaborative approach and foresight for design detail, ensures unique, well designed solutions, restrained detail and emphasis on materiality and space. Her knowledge of product, environmental impact and construction has resulted in high levels of design outcomes.  Her integrated approach from conception through to the finishing touches ensures the design intent and the clients brief are maintained throughout the process.
